We will also visit the Jordan Archaeological Museum, located on Citadel Hill, which displays treasures from prehistoric times through the Islamic era, illustrating the history of this land.

Next, we will descend to the base of the hill to explore the Roman Theatre, a 6,000-seat structure built in 161 CE, still used today for cultural events. We will also visit the Jordan Folklore Museum, showcasing traditional Jordanian life through colorful displays of embroidered costumes, Bedouin tents, musical instruments, and village tools.

Then we will continue north to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world. Once home to 20,000 inhabitants, Jerash dates back to the era of Alexander the Great (332 BC) and was a prosperous city. Day 3: Amman – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Kerak Castle – Petra

After breakfast, we will drive to Madaba, known as the “City of Mosaics”, and visit the St. George Church (6th century AD) to see the famous Mosaic Map of the Holy Land.

Next, we will continue to Mt. Nebo, where Moses is believed to have viewed the Promised Land. On a clear day, you can see Jerusalem, Jericho, and the Dead Sea. A memorial dedicated to Moses is located at the entrance of the early Byzantine church.

Our next stop is Kerak, where we will explore Kerak Castle, one of the most impressive Crusader fortresses in the Middle East. We will end the day in Petra.

Day 4: Petra Tour – Wadi Rum 2-Hour Sunset Safari

After breakfast, we will explore Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Once the capital of the Nabataeans, Petra is famous for its temples and tombs carved into rose-red cliffs. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.

The tour begins with a walk through the Siq, a narrow 1.5 km canyon, leading to the iconic Treasury. Beyond the Treasury lies a hidden valley filled with ruins, facades, amphitheaters, colonnaded streets, and stairways.

After Petra, we will continue to Wadi Rum for a 2-hour sunset 4×4 safari, exploring red sand dunes, granite mountains, ancient rock carvings, and Nabataean ruins. This desert inspired T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia).

Dinner and overnight at Mars Land Luxury Camp in bubble tents.

Day 5: Wadi Rum – Bethany – Dead Sea

After breakfast at the camp, we will drive to Bethany, an important biblical archaeological site. Excavations have uncovered more than 20 churches, caves, and baptismal pools dating from the Roman and Byzantine periods. It is believed to be the location where John the Baptist lived, Jesus was baptized, and where the first five apostles met. Some also believe it is where the Prophet Elijah ascended to heaven.

From there, the path to the Jordan River changes from desert to a lush oasis, reflecting why Prophet Jeremiah called it “the jungle of the Jordan.”

Next, we will continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Surrounded by desert mountains, its highly saline waters allow you to float effortlessly—a unique experience.
